So the last (3) Roku Ultras I’ve installed have had issues. I believe they are remote issues. Today when I get to the WiFi password screen I can’t move cursor up or down. Only left and right. Swapped batteries and nothing. Found a remote in my truck and paired it and it was fine. Another install the remote wouldn’t respond to the Roku. Controls volume fine but won’t control Roku. Taking battery out will eventually fix it. Another one I couldn’t get a reliable response. Tried to unpair remote and pair again but wouldn’t pair. Tried 2 spare remotes in my truck and none would pair. Roku app worked fine for control but 3 remotes wouldn’t pair (one paired on the other install just fine).

I install a lot of Roku’s I would say it’s 50% control system so never had issues with IR or IP. These were all purchased at same time from Amazon so not sure if just a bad batch or what.

Anyone else have similar issues?

TIA
Knowing that Gold went up a few K makes me think "well now I have to do a better job on selling more equipment".

I would recommend buying them from a real distributor. You could be getting b-stock, grey market who knows what...

Roku has been very stable for me. C@pitol has them in stock.

The newer Roku remotes with IR on board for TV's, when not paired to Roku or the Roku it is paired with is unplugged, it switches to IR for ALL commands even rokus. You can test this by pressing a key while pointing it at the camera of your cell phone.
