With non-PTZ cameras we have a "CAMERAS" page with a video feed that shows the grid. There are transparent buttons over each camera window that opens that particular camera up full screen.

What i would like to do is have PTZ controls on the full screen page so that i can move the camera around and select presets. I am currently testing a product at the office that sort of works but its super buggy and unusable. This product has a crestron certified module and we have a world class programmer so im not sure what the issue is. This got me thinking"maybe this is a feature people dont care about". Client gets the grid and if they need more control they load an app or web interface. We typically let the security company handle cameras and this is how its always done.

Who here truly integrates PTZ cameras with their control system? What control system, camera make and model? Can you provide a screenshot of the GUI?

Example of the full screen page with PTZ control overlay:

We do this very regularly with Axis cameras. Both with Crestron and Savant. We've started C4 but I have yet to try this with their system.

For us, the clients use an app for the nvr, but we also put the nvr on the video distribution. The nvrs we sell can be controlled, so we put the picture up and they can scroll between the different views and cameras.

Haven't had any residential clients yet that want to pay PTZ camera pricing, but our commercial clients we almost always have a PTZ camera for conference/auditorium systems.

We do not put the image on the GUI because typically when they use the camera, the image view is already displayed on the display within the room. But the one thing I like to do is allow the customer to save their own presets. Most people don't move the camera around every time it's being used. So usually during commissioning, we sit with our contact, he directs which presets he wants and then we show him how to save them. Usually we do a press and hold on a number preset, then popup a message saying asking to name the preset then have a popup message with "preset saved".
