Has anyone installed any of the Parasound Halo gear? I love the regular amps and recommend and sell them to all my clients when they are truly needed. Was curious for feed back on the Halo stuff from anybody that has dealt with them yet. I know that they are on the "higher end" as far as gear. Thank you for your input on this matter I appreciate it.

I installed a set for a client who sourced it elsewhere. I was very impressed; good gear, simple setup, good integration. It sounded great. The amps run hot.

Gear is also built tough.
I have hauled around the C1, A51 combo to 3 CES, 2 CEDIA & 3 EHEXPO shows using commerical carriers and union workers.
Great tech support too.

just became dealers, so far so good, same comments as above in regards to build quality and set up, only beef (if you can call it that) the component video on the C2 is BNC, but it comes with adaptors for RCA, I just don't like using adaptors, and its a pain in the A** to have to reterminate all your cables, since most cable boxes, DSS receivers, and DVD players use RCA component video (except our Integra, thank God).
Dropped Bryston to get Halo, the Bryston SP1.7 is an overpriced piece of unreliable CR*P, nothing but problems on every one we sold.

I'm thinking of becomming a dealer and have been going back and forth with a couple of other brands. I initially wanted to start moving the NAD line as well and everyone here basically warned my of the potential problems. Anyhow, back to the Halo, I have had great success with the normal parasound line just,, had to cast a questionaire to everybody. I just wanted to get some input being that it is a new product.

BNC have much higher bandwidth than RCA. Of course, if you make your own cables you do not have to resort to adaptors. One end could have RCA and the other BNC. Given the previlence of snap on connectors this should be no incovenience at all. The other advantage is that the length will be perfect and you will not have to deal with extra cables in the rack.

Used a C2 and the amps a few months back, no video upconversion, but you can back up all of your settings with their software to your PC. Very solid, works great.
