(and, Yes I have Pandora set for default music stream)

Trying to make it easier for the customer to play music from their Sonos and Alexa combination on a small system.

He wants voice control to pick his stations.

I want to limit the amount of words used for him to select a song to be played, and would like to prioritize Pandora, in place of Amazon Music.

If I say " Alexa...play Pandora Queen on the rack player" I get Queen from the Sonos onto the house system fine.

If I say "Alexa....play Queen on the rack player" I get Queen playing from the Alexa and she tells me its streaming from Amazon Music.

I absolutely have Pandora enabled and linked and also set for default music player.

I just wanted it 1 word simpler because all signs point that this can be done...I'm not sure what the hiccup is...

Any insight?

Thanks

This is just my opinion, but I believe the hiccup was in telling them that they could do this in the first place. In my home with multiple zones, trying to get the right zone playing with the right music service… If it’s not intuitive for me, my clients will never get it.

Never done this exactly, but can't that be setup with "routines" in Alexa App?
I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

Tom, I never said it could.... I definitely manage expectations better than that.. :)

I was testing in the office to see how easy it was... and this happened.

Wanted to see the results before we committed to doing it this way.

It is an Amazon device, so it is always going to choose the Amazon service 1st.
I believe when I tested this out a long time ago, you could disable the Amazon Music entirely. That would be the only way you are going to get this to work the way you want. But if they have made it now, so that you can not disable the Amazon services... time to get a Google home :)

I think Amazon is set as the default. I believe you can make Pandora the default in the app.

I forgive you 😀 Your original post indicated you were doing this for a customer, and made no mention of testing in your office.
