Why care? As the article notes, this procedure is reminiscent of Douglas Adams' genius writing about how modern technology and procedures can be dastardly stooopid as well as ridiculous. "Corporate torture," the article calls it.

This one is better

This was a comment on the mismatch between what technological people think is okay and what real people are likely to do. I can imagine these bulbs being returned the first time it's necessary to do this.

I haven't sold any of these and don't intend to. We should be aware of the stupidity being forced on the public by industries tangential to ours, so I presented it.


Can you just imagine? There are actually different versions of this video. I'm waiting for the director's cut.
