Android can Cast to SONOS devices already, so why would you need to use Airplay from an Android device?

Because thats likely going away as well. Unless Sonos added Chromecast audio in the last couple months?

The announcement specifically mentioned Apple and the difficulties with iOS to do this now.
They never said anything about Android.
Many believe this is a strong indicator that nothing will change for Android users.

Apple is pushing Apple Music. iTunes music has been has had a steady decline in revenue over the last 3-4 years. iTunes is going away and will be replaced withe a new app. They are going to eventually kill off the local library. Yes you will still be able to play songs you have on the device, but you will not be able to play them on ANY 3rd party device such as any 2-way dock, MusiCast, Heos, BlueSound, URC, and Sonos.

So in other words, start transitioning your clients to streaming services. Its $100/year. Not a big pill to swallow for 99% of our clients.
