Or is this not a joke and they actually want to release this?

If it's 29 days late on April 29, I'm thinking someone can't count and it's an April Fools Joke.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Seeing how it’s almost noon in Seoul, South Korea. My statement is accurate.

Maybe Millennials are into digital signage far more than we think.

We're missing out on a big opportunity!

Probably not, if it requires anything more than 5 minutes set up time on their phone they have moved on.

My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

That they have... but this a new generation of people. Since the rotating monitors have been around, they haven’t been a staple. So I am pretty sure this gene thinks it’s a new idea.

Besides, without looking, I believe these are motorized to rotate.

motorized would be better especially for a TV. But all I meant is I can understand why someone might think it is a good idea, but IMHO it falls in the category of "more interesting on paper then in real life."

As an idea it is not a bad one to have a screen that is has the right AR which is why , I am sure like others here, which is why we set up some HTs with variable AR projector set-up. But IMHO it is different to take a couple of minutes for the curtains to get to the right place for a film where you will be sitting watching it for 2h and your vacation pics or a 5 minute youtube video.

- here is the tower lying down
{click button to turn screen to portrait}
--- 1 minute later
- look it is leaning now
---1 minute later
- look at the tower how nice it looks
--- 30 seconds later
{click to change picture}
- here is the landscape on its side
{click button to turn screen to landscape}
--- 1 minute later
- look it looks like a steep mountain
---1 minute later
- look at the landscape how nice it looks
--- 30 seconds later
{click to change picture}
