Has anyone fussed with the XR8 dongle that allows an RF controller to be paired with a non-RF cable box?
I don't care much about the actual XR8 device, but it would be neat if I could emulate the protocol sent out of that 3.5mm 3-conductor plug. It could be something as simple as a few hex characters sent in RS-232 fashion.

Pretty sure thats only for legacy boxes at this point. I wouldn't put much effort into it. Those boxes worked great with the old remotes/Emitters
