Not sure what year each launched but I know I installed my first QS system in 2012, HW8 (Illumination) in 2004, HW4 is just a smaller processor than HW8 and would have been released at the same time.

The first system I installed as a Homeworks Interactive in 1998 which was the replacement for the original Homeworks.

Lutron Homeworks Interactive became Lutron Homeworks Illumination. I remember starting a lutron project with interactive and switching it over to illumination towards the end. I dont know if Interactive or Illumination were the names for the product line or just the programming software. With Homeworks QS its both the software and the product. The HW4 and HW8 were 2 of many different model processors. For example i have a client with an all wireless Homeworks Illumination system with an HRP5-120 processor.
