I'm in the process of looking for a solid component line to carry. I'm already an Integra dealer, looking for a step-up line from Integra. Here are some I am considering: Rotel, Adcom, B&K. What do you think about these and are there any others like these I should also consider?

You don't say what role/s you want the new line to fill. Integra already brings "distribution lite" to your stable. To me B&K seems like quite a different animal than the other two. Personally if I had to choose between Rotel and Adcom I'd go with Adcom because they've got (IMHO) better name recognition that "touches" the high end. B&K on the other hand does audio distribution better and is no slouch in the quality arena. (Still only MHO.)

Lexicon is a better choice and it's probably limited dealerships in your area.

I was trying to stick to your specifics, but Lexicon is way cool and they treat their dealers AND customers to monetary incentives everytime some technology changes.

And you know what? It's time for me to continue my recent change in diet. Time to eat more crow! I just went to Rotel's website and my comments were based on OLD information. They're heavily into distribution, and should make a great addition if that's what you decide on.

Still, you haven't said what YOU want the proposed new line to do for your business.

I think a step up from Integra wouldn't be B&K, they're pretty similar. The "Step Up" would be Rotel or Adcom.

The problem with Integra is that they will sell it to anyone. Have you ever heard of a dealer being cut off for transshipping Integra or or selling it at cut throat prices? Try that with Marantz or Adcom.
Just my 2 cents

We carry both Rotel and B&K, but if I had to choose, I'd go Rotel. Their line has greater depth, it sounds every bit as good if not better than B&K, and they are much easier to operate. Check out their new 7.1 pre-amp at 1500.00 and they have a new surround receiver at 1200.00 that are killer. As for Adcom, their amps are good, but their pre-amps are antiquated.

We recently changed from Adcom to Rotel and haven't looked back. Rotel is a wonderful line-up. They have more to offer than adcom...A LOT MORE!!! Adcom has (as far as I remember) maybe 16 skus, compared to Rotels 24 (or more) Skus including DVD players, and full blown receivers. NOTE!!!! Adcom recently got bought out. That kinda tells ya something. Go for the rotel.

Glad I ate my Rotel crow before room service showed up!
