Hello,
We are having a issue with a XP8 controlling a Video Storm CMXA1616A2 audio matrix. I am using the RTI diagnostic tool to following the processes, but was told by Video Storm that RTI has a Debug Hidden Property feature? They said "Their is a RTI tool setting somewhere to show hidden settings/properties" and "The A2 driver has a "debug mode" property on it. Enable that and you will see more information in the logs. You may have to use RTIs traceviewer.exe to get the driver logs." Has anyone ever seen this feature? I am just familiar with the diagnostic tool?

Thank you

I'll put this on the RTI forum and see if you get a answer.

If you're a RTI dealer you should login to the dealer site and join the forum.

This is one response I got for you on the forum.

What issue are you having exactly?

The "tool" they are talking about is for developers, it gives you as a programmer no additional insight. It is to debug when you are making a driver as a developer.

Gotta ask, why didn't videostorm send you over a copy of traceview? I know the answer, I want to hear what they told you.

You need to hit the processor from a browser to get this.

*edit- did they make reference to “wireshark”? If so, pack a big lunch.

Hello burtont62,
Thank you very much for your reply and help. As far as a dealer, I was at the time we installed the system. I had a feeling it was a developer tool just by the reply from Video Storm. The issue I am having is below and sent to video Storm. Honestly, I really did not get a great answer, they said "The A2 driver has a "debug mode" property on it. Enable that and you will see more information in the logs. You may have to use RTIs traceviewer.exe to get the driver logs." So basically a RTI issue. All I am trying to determine is where the issue is pending.

Issue:
I am having a strange issue with my RS232 connection from my CMX1616A2 and my RTI XP8. Whenever I do a program change to the XP8 and it reboots, the first time it boots I loose any connection to the matrix. But, if I reboot the XP8 again, i gain connection and control of the matrix?? I have attached log files, both when no connection and with connection. The XP8 seems to be sending the signal correctly in both circumstances fine to the matrix, so I am not sure why the loss of connection?

Thank you,
Jr

Hi Don Heany,
Thank you for the reply. I did hit the processor from a browser and was able to watch the RTI sending to the matrix as seen below. So what I can tell is that it is sending to the matrix?? They did not mention wireshark. Will it show conductivity between the RTI and the matrix? I listed the issue in the prior reply.

Thank you JR

DCBUS, you're killin' me.

Please quit using ? and ?? if you're not asking a question?

See what I mean? I just wrote a statement and put a question mark at the end of it and it makes very little sense. Did I mean to ask a question and I messed up the words? Did I mean to make a statement and there's a rogue question mark at the end? Who knows?

Please quit using ? and ?? if you're not asking a question.

Frinstance
So what I can tell is that it is sending to the matrix??

There you ask us if you can tell that it is sending to the matrix. How would we know?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
