Have a project with the dreaded TV over the fireplace situation. This is a little worse since the seating will be about 10' from the fireplace.
I do remember some other TV lift companies at Cedia last year. But only remember Nexus Transcend. Have any of you installed the Transcend? If so, how'd it work out? The good, bad and the ugly on the installation.
What other drop down TV mounts are out there? Looking for both options, manual or motorized.

Have a job we offered Future Automation for motorized and an option for mantle mount. It was a massive delta in pricing (for obvious reasons). A freinemy used a mantle mount and I went to take a look at it. We agreed it was a total PoS. Will be checking out the company in the CEPro article above.

We've done a handful of mantel mounts. I will never use the 540 or below again. 700 and up are decent. But I plan to try the Dynamic Mounting product on the next one.

I have a motorized future automation EAD at the shop waiting to go up with an 85" Sony. The price is not out of control surprisingly. I'll post my thoughts once I install it.

I just did a Dynamic and found it to be really well designed. Lots of adjustments to tweak positioning etc.
