Any suggestions?

I would love to purchase a “pro” remote set up. But I am not in the business thus I don’t have access to the software to make magical things happen.

Working on my own configuration is something I would like to have the ability to do. A touch screen is a must with little hard buttons. Actually the buttons on the TSU-9400 is about what I am looking for.

Thanks,
KOT

Why do you want to replace your TSU-9400? That is a good remote. And they don't make them like that anymore.
As you have already alluded to, you can not get anything that is going to be an upgrade from that, without going with a 'pro' remote. And paying a pretty penny too.

My advice would be to look at Harmony. [Link: logitech.com]

Its the only consumer-available programmable remote on the market. Its not as customizable as your pronto but it comes with a lot of cool stuff like native control of Sonos, Lighting, Apple TV, Roku etc.

You can find it on display at places like Best Buy and there are dozens of youtube videos by end users.

If you really like the TSU-9400 you should check ebay. Brand new ones show up from time to time because some dealer decides to empty his warehouse out and they find a box of stuff like that. We just found like a hundred original RadiaRa devices in ours. They sold like hotcakes on ebay.

Thank you. I guess the Harmony Elite is my next purchase.

I see there is a Harmony Pro feature. But there isn’t much information on it. Can anyone elaborate on what it’s about?

Its the same product as the Elite. The main difference (for most users) is that the pro has a web based portal for managing multiple remotes/accounts...remotely. The rest of the bullet points wont matter to the average home owner/user.
The info here is like 98% correct. I linked to it for the side by side comparison. [Link: universalremotereviews.com]

Wow, I’ve had the Harmony Elite for 24 hours and I’m already asking to see if anyone would buy it. Wish the seller would take returns though.

And wish that my Pronto would control the Lutron Caseta through my network. (Unless it can and I just don’t know about it...)

I don't have a copy handy, but you can drag the IP protocol out of Lutron.

Here is a thread to start you on your way with the 9400.

Can you be specific about what you hate about it?

The only negative bullet point i have for it is the inability to customize the UI.

Your negative bullet point slammed the finish nail right on the head with a sledge hammer. That’s how strong I feel about it.

That, and the fact that some features are programmable by the iOS app only. Or computer only, or at least easier with the computer.

It took me a long time to map the volume controls to be global. And I miss the 5 hard buttons under the screen on the 9400.

Buzz, thank you for that information. I’ll look into that sometime and if I have any questions, I’ll post them here.

I suspected that your familiarity with the Pronto would make you hate the Harmony. The only reason i suggested it is that there really isn't a pronto-type product out there anymore.

I wish Philips would have sold Pronto...maybe to someone like SnapAV. Pronto already had an awesome line of remotes...had they added an iOS app they would still be in the game.

FWIW: Have you looked at Nevo (same as Acoustic Research Xsight Touch), it's not perfect by any means but you can set it up using JP1. It's just a way to get all your remotes into one. They are all over ebay for fairly cheap (at least when I bought mine). I can see why they didn't sell at the price they were in the day but it gets me by.
