As mentioned above, we use the Triplett CamView IP Pro+ 8071. I'm with you on many of our installs. Commercial, 16 or more cameras, requires a lift exc. Network configurations can be much more complex than a plug and play IP scheme. It also helps for one installer to be able to install and setup the camera while you (or another installer) are setting up the network or other systems.

We bought the Triplett openbox on ebay pretty cheap.

We'll check it out. It's a bit more expensive than we were originally looking to spend, since we need 3-4 of them. But, it may very well be worth it.

This would be for large commercial installations where we would be on lifts 30’ up.

This sounds like the perfect opportunity to up-sell the project by installing Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras. Problem Solved/Money Made.

Sounds attractive, David, but the cameras have to be pointed at the right places at the moment that someone slips and falls, or steals from the till... they have to be very purposefully aimed and left aimed. And oh, yes, in the office... at the safe.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I agree. I never said put them on auto pilot! Mount the cameras, add furniture, adjust the pan/tilt/zoom for the proper views. Leave alone (until a change in the floor plan). The safe wouldn't need a pan/tilt/zoom because the office probably doesn't have a 30 ft ceiling. And don't forget the Chuck Berry cam!
