I finally upgraded my old iPhone SE with a new XS and the new phone is a tight fit in the Ford Transit dash cubby. Found a mount from a company called ProClip and it's really nice. If you're driving a full size Transit you should take a look at it. It's two different products (mount & holder). Mount: [Link: proclipusa.com]Holder: [Link: proclipusa.com]The holder works really well with the leather case I'm using and allows you to clip your Lighting cable in the bottom so when you slide the phone in it automatically charges.

I'm not aware of any promo codes... there is a less expensive version of the mount which just clips in and is only $30. [Link: proclipusa.com]

I thought sticking my old phone in the built-in dash pocket worked well, but the ProClip mount is worlds better.
The phone is up higher now and the bottom of the phone isn't obscured by the pocket so it's easier to see and use. Using the face ID on the iPhone XS works great in the mount too... all I have to do is move my head slightly to the right and the phone unlocks.
The mount is sturdy enough you can type on the phone with it in the mount and it's rock solid.
It's unusual for me to endorse a product like this, but I think it's really well designed and I was surprised to find something made specifically for the Transit dash.

I have used Pro-Clip mounts in 10 or more vehicles over the years. Not cheap, but really well designed and made. Fit is great as they are always custom fit to both the vehicle model and specific phone.

Seems they don't have one for the Mini that has a secret compartment above the glove box.
I just throw my phone on the console (a perfect snug fit) and use bluetooth anyway.
