Casey - for every single outing, there is a packing list from the scoutmaster. Specify the allowed lights, for a year. They will eventually learn what is acceptable. Once you move up to Boy Scouts they follow directions fairly well. -Joe

It’s made completing this year a bit of a challenge. I’ve tried to talk my girls into it, but had no luck. One couple here started a venture crew about a year ago and I tried and tried to talk my oldest into trying it. She won’t even discuss it.

I have to say it came in handy last night. While you guys were having a drink, I was setting fence post. Used the task mode which lit up my work and provided illumination around the work area. Worth it just for that project. Then I performed a goldfish burial. 8 years old.

It was about 9" from nose to tail the last time i saw it. Her and my uncle divorced and i haven't seen her in forever. If i ever see her the first question will be "how long did the gold fish live".
