Yeah, because that wouldn’t be blinding to everyone else around you.

Go camping with a group of cub scouts and you’ll decide that a headlamp is the worst invention to ever be created. 20 kids running around with their headlamps pointed up, constantly hitting you right in the eyes. This halo light would be like 10 kids in one.

I could see wearing them while working on the highway...so you dont get hit by an idiot. Everywhere else would be annoying as hell.

Fins, it is not. LEDs angle slightly down. And the task mode, LEDs in front are full brightness and other three fourths are dim, just illuminating around you. And I would not take 20 kids camping. Certainly wouldn’t pass around 20 headlamps because they shouldn’t be running around in the woods at night. MAC, it’s not a spot light trying to find channel markers in a river at night.

Never underestimate the ability of an idiot to overcome preventive measures- we just lost a member of the DPW road crew as he was filling potholes, DURING THE DAY.

Apparently, the driver is legally blind, but he was behind the wheel, anyway.

You don’t have kids do you.

I still think this light would be extremely annoying

I actually don’t think it would be blinding for others. It looks like it is diffused enough that it wouldn’t matter.

While it does serve a purpose, our industry is NOT one of them. There is no reason for us to every wear these. Why do we need to light up whats behind us? Looks annoying, however, it brilliant for highway workers.

You may not need to light up behind you. However the task mode works well in condos which many are rather dark at times. For residential it may not be useful. At night it does work well for anything you may need a headlamp for. I going to use it to take a piss at night.

And it's FINS for the totally negative comment!

This wonderful tool can be misused. It's totally possible to be a pain in the ass with it. But it's also possible for it to work really well for you.

We don't eschew cars because they can't pull a plow. Don't call this thing worthless because it's easy to think of a situation where using it would be idiotic. On that basis, everything with a sharp edge would be forbidden everywhere.

The scenario with the cub scouts is the perfect scenario for teaching kids that they have to think of other people, as well as teaching the adult leaders that just because they are adults, doesn't mean they can't have bad ideas... like harnessing up a bunch of kids with lights like this.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Because I’m the only one that thought this thing looks like a bad idea. Btw, did you bother to look and see the light is $170?

You’ve never tried to control 20 kids have you? You dont issue them lights. They all bring their own. Then they don’t listen. It’s like trying to train cats.

Well. Guess I’ll just wait for a new Kobalt gimmick tool to come out. I won’t buy it. Although some might like to know about it.

HA!

(there is no better way to get me to read a post than to put "new tool" in the topic, lol. Tools are my weakness).
