Open them up in a graphics editor and export or "save as" a .bmp file.

I saved it as a .bmpfile but when I try to export it to my RC9200 it says file is not in 1 4 or 8 bit per pixel .

In the graphics program there will be an option to convert the graphic to 8bit (probably under the format menu) It may be rgb now which is 24bit. The 9200 is limited to 8bit color.

I have used every program out there at one time or another. Paint Shop Pro is the best balance between a powerful program and reasonable price I have seen.

I have more expensive ones on my computer, but I always come back to using PSP.

You can download a free 60 trial version here....

Just keep in mind, all decent graphics programs come with a large learning curve if you have never used one before.
