People don't leave their home country because they're incredibly happy with their life, they leave when it's too bad/dangerous to continue or when they have better opportunities in another place. Go to other countries and try to get them to change to suit your wants & needs- they'll tell you to pound sand, if they even let you stay.

Why is it, that the rest of the World is allowed to enforce their border and immigration laws, but the US is supposed to let everyone just waltz in and do whatever they want? Even Mexico has stronger immigration laws but, because they don't want to deal with the migrants from their South, they let most of them pass through. Most countries require that adults have some skill that would make it possible for them to support themselves and their family.

All governments become extremely over-bearing at some point but we have more freedoms than just about any other country. THAT'S a major reason people come here- opportunity is another.

How many here want to pay more than half of their income to the government, in the form of income tax? I suspect, not many. We have people crying because they won't get the big refund this year and want to blame it on Trump, when it's really due to their ignorance of their own tax status and W-4 choices. Anyone can select more than one exemption, many don't because they want a refund and then, they complain that they live from paycheck to paycheck. Yeah, it's all one person's fault. Right. Congress writes the laws and tax code. Bitch at them.

Anyone who thinks the US should be more like Socialist countries needs to state why, specifically. Anyone whose examples include Communist/former Communist countries needs to talk to people from those countries.

I completely agree with you. I don't talk about this stuff (you must be referring to my "about this," which referred to our medical system, because that's what "this stuff" logically refers to.

I applaud your call for us to talk about Custom Installation and leave the docs for, say, the Intermission Forum.
