So, I just got this in my inbox...since I'm technically still a SONOS dealer I typed in my zip code.  Guess who doesn't show up.

Dont ever expect anything from Sonos and you'll never be disapointed.

Yes, I’ve been aware of that. Free same day delivery and setup for a PLAY:1 is a great money maker. Especially if the dealer pays shipping.

Then there is the inventory management. One would need at least a few days inventory, even for units that rarely sell in your market.

To be clear...The email today was for the Connect:Amp and Sonance Speakers, and find a professional installer.   So it's not only the Play 1's anymore...

I blew them up on their Facebook page...and their Twitter page....and I called them twice.

Side note, saw this link on a yahoo finance page to a techcrunch article on the new Sonos Sonance speakers.

My favorite line "These are weird products as you still need to connect those speakers with a Sonos Amp. In other words, you can’t control those speakers from the Sonos app without the Sonos Amp."

Crazy weird in that a person might have to hire a pro.

Sadly, that's how millenials will pobably view it and not buy into it or will buy it and end up stacking it in the corner with their Ring doorbells,DIY security cams, security systems, and everything else that can't be "installed" with their laptop!

To be fair the sonance+Sonos relationship is sort of weird. It's like a cutlery company partnering with a food company.

So Chicago Cutlery cheese? Why?

I saw the Play 1 two pack at Costco for $249 and the Play Bar WITH the mount for $599.

I was looking for another way to beat my head against a wall and this looks as good as anything I have seen, lately.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Feel like this generation of product is phasing out for sku’s with Alexa and AirPlay2. Think we’ll see a bigger beam and a cheaper sub sometime soon.

CostCo are a great place to look for trends in Sonos's range... as soon as they decide to move through a SKU they dump it to CostCo.

Sonance needs to sell more speakers, they sell through Sonos's website to installers who don't question why / how speakers would work with an amp + punters now see it and assume they work together (which they do) or Sonance is somehow the same thing as Sonos.
Works for Sonos as they're currently not getting a chunk of the passive speaker market.... so clipping the ticket on Sonance means they get revenue without any warranty / development issues etc.

It would be no different to buying Flexson brackets from Sonos etc.
This industry is not getting cheaper and cheaper, we're simply convincing ourselves that we have to push the cheapest option to customers.
