Maybe I did not search it correctly, when I looked for best 65 inch here, the thread was from 2016.
So maybe it is time to get some pro opinions about the latest and greatest in decent sized 65 and 75 inch TV's.
I was at a demo near the end of last year for Panasonic and their new OLED TV's. Supposed to be great sets (they did look very good) yet on line searches of "the best" keeps coming up with LG and Samsung, along with some brands that I thought were not even on our radars. I thought these new Panasonic sets were going to bring them back on these types of lists.
So, I guess the question goes out to those that install them regularly. What is the best out there today, what would you put in your home. Thanks
Pat

Oh, and while we are at it, I think I know the answer, but do you use the internal Apps for things like Netflix etc? Or is Apple TV or Roku still the best user experience?

The Sony Master Series OLEDs were perfect at CEDIA. Exactly what I was hoping for out of the technology. I don't believe they are available to purchase just yet.
To answer your question on streaming apps, we utilize all of the options above. If a client is a heavy Apple user, we install AppleTV 4k units. If the ultimate in simplicity is required and a custom remote solution is being used, than we recommend Roku with the ability to skip the players user interface. In retrofit or inexpensive/ little use applications we will use the built in apps. It really depends on simplicity and control for us.

If you have just a TV then I would go with the built in apps so they just use the TV OEM remote. If you have additional sources or an AVR or other method of switching then go with an appletv or roku.

If there are smart remotes - then all sets with a smart remote get the same streaming box (Roku, or AppleTV). Everything works the same, no worries about different interfaces for different brands/models, or TV software updates, etc.
Sony Master Series, both OLED and LCD, are awesome.

Personally, I don't think that the LG remote is friendly. I don't enjoy their point and click scheme.
If one is installing a control system, one can ignore the LG remote. Without a universal control system, the choice is AppleTV for an Apple home or ROKU if not.
