Ok, Back to Denver we go. Bring your gas masks for 16th street tour. LOL.
I was actually thinking about staying in Golden this year and taking the train in.
Anyone in Golden or Denver think this is a good idea?
I have stayed north and used the light rail. I liked it.
Roddy?

That could work. You would get on the "W" line at the Taj Mahal (A.K.A Jefferson County Government Center). Take it in to Union Station. Then take the free mall bus up 16th Street - That gets you close to the Convention Center.

If you're renting a car, no problem. You can stay anywhere in Golden and park at the light rail. If not, just check the map.

Golden is cool - It has some throwback little bars/eateries.

Using the rail system, what is the transit time to the Convention Center from Golden?

Roddy lives a couple hours from Denver. I don’t visit the city or take the train much there. I did stay in Tech Center years ago and took the train each day without issues. I do struggle with the oxygen down there.

I have been thinking of AirBNB farther out and up with a view and a car.

I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

Thanks Roper777. Charge per day for parking at the downtown light rail station, I will look into that.
RadioRhea, The car was too costly to deal with for just two of us going. But I did it years ago, and hardly used the car. It was mostly going back and forth to the airport. it would probably work with about 4 or more.

Buzz: 30-45 minutes on the train + 10 minutes on the mall bus + 10 walk to convention center. The train time is a guess - I don't use the light rail but everyone says it's slow.

Stay in Golden, take the "Short Tour" at Coors Brewery and get your 3 free beers while you hang with the kids from the School of Mines.

I’m so excited that it’s back in Denver. I’ll get a condo for a few of us

Wings Over Rockies is a really cool museum. Would love to visit there again! Not sure if the prototype Baby Boom is there still...

Same here. I actually like Denver as a host city for CEDIA. Stayed in hotel close by last time. I wouldn't mind a view this go around.

Last day of 2018 Expo, Cedia announced dates for Denver 2019. I grabbed a 5-BR AirBnB house some 8 blocks from CC. $600/night, cheaper than 5 hotel rooms!
