Ok, I swore I wouldn’t post another thing about festool a few years back but this is game changing for those of you that have switched over to the system. How many threads have we had about mobile work benches. This will be awesome for trim out and equipment room setups. Roll your trim out tools to every room with a table. Add the extension for even more room. Think about just putting equipment together/rack rails etc!!

I will say tough I’m excited because I learned this afternoon that I’m getting one of these as a gift! 🤣

I never understood the desire to haul a bunch of boxes into a jobsite (wire aside). I have the option to stack, roll and haul things in and have NEVER found it to be of value.

You ever work in a multi floor building where contractor parking in on the furthest side of the parking garage? Every time you need something it’s an elevator ride down 6 floors then walk a block to where you parked then up three flights of stairs to the level you could find a space on then reverse trip.

How about NYC; parking three blocks away and 30 min wait for the service elevator. I have the Dewalt TSTAK and Toughsystem but I wish I'd started with Festool even though it is much more expensive.

I have stopped taking work in NYC due to how much of a pita it is. You also have to leave super early to beat traffic to then have to wait for them to open up the service elevator and allow contractors in, after you've parked 10 blocks away and gotten a ticket before you've even gotten inside the building.

$650, eh?

A folding table is now game changing. Is it 1945?

You would love doing a job in Charleston, SC. then.

Go to the building location no earlier than 8am and unload into the entry foyer while somehow not blocking the street, then go park your vehicle several blocks away and walk back in the hopes your stuff will still be there.

End of day, which must be before 5pm, you tote your stuff back into the entry foyer, hustle back to your truck, then try to load while again not blocking traffic.


OR:

Somehow manage to get your BIG ASS truck into a TINY ASS parking structure, and then pile all your crap onto something that will allow you to drag it along shitty sidewalks and cobblestone streets, to the job site.

Seriously problematic.

I pulled into a parking structure not knowing I nearly couldn't get out the exit (there was an extremely tight turn) and spend 30 minutes trying to get out of the building. That was a fun experience. NOT.

In his defense Charleston has some pretty crazy rules. Saw that on TOH. Especially for contractors.
