I got an email with this title today. I've never heard of this. Is it new or did I just never notice it before?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I haven't yet received any similar. What I would do with it depends on my mood. I probably I would ignore it and not bother posting here. If it passes through a .ru server, it will end up in my spam trap anyway.

Don't just open it out of curiosity unless your anti-malware is fully up to date. Even if there is no malware, they will likely have little beacons that will alert them that your email address is "live", then your address will be passed around. Certainly, don't follow any links.

I have my email clients set to ignore any external content unless I specifically authorize it. If the email seems spammy I may (safely) pick through it out of curiosity, with the intent of introducing it to my spam filter. Many of the spammers seem to use the same packages. Once I notice this, I can makeup a filter that will reject any spam using that package. I don't need to pick off the senders, one by one. In any case it appears to the sender that the email was rejected outright by the server or disappeared into a black hole.

Did you read the email? If you did, your computer now has aids.

My business partner seems compelled to open any email that gets through his gmail account. He has much more trouble with various vermin, requiring frequent sweeps. This drives me crazy. He hates the sweeps, yet he'll open just about anything. If I don't recognize the sender or the subject is unreasonable, the email will have an appointment with the black hole or my spam filter.

Hmm, over the past couple weeks the spammers have come after me. Their original message is trapped by my spam filter and a rejection message to that effect is sent back to their server. They then turn this around sending a long message to me from me, sometimes implying that my message is "Undeliverable, return to sender", but my rejection message was two very short lines. The "Undeliverable" message is an extortion attempt claiming that they have discovered all of the porn on my system and have incriminating pictures captured by my camera. Send Bitcoin to ... or we will expose your embarrassing activities to all of your contacts. I wish them luck. Had they actually penetrated the system they would have discovered that it is an ancient (given to me by a customer) CORE 2 DUO, probably built before there were cameras. It's fine for email and browsing. When the system dies, it goes straight to recycle, there is nothing I would want to recover stored here.
