Just as the title says, wondering if anyone has found an ASTM E119 rated speaker backbox they like? Inspector is making me follow this stupid code. The only things I see online only fit specific speakers.

A good place to start would be to tell us what speakers YOU are using.

As for "Stupid Codes"? How about we come up with the perfect libertarian approach:

1. A list is compiled of all the people who don't want any form of government regulation (seat belts, helmets, smoke detectors, fire stopping, guard rails, building codes etc).

2. Those people are exempt from having to comply with any of the above.

3. The fire department, police department, EMTs and insurance companies are allowed ignore the people on the list.

If the grid has a direct lightning strike near that building, do you want to be the reason the place burned to the ground?
