hi
several times tried to update latest firmware by net and got "1-21 error!" and "0-83 error!" errors.
Downloaded the firmware update from Pioneer unziped&placed the unzipped files on the thumb drive. updating process stopped at 9% and "1-21 error!" and "0-83 error!" errors.
right now i have only "update firmware by net or usb" message only.
whats the problem with this receiver?

You need to contact Pioneer support. There was apparently a large number of defective TI chipsets and you might be able to get your receiver repaired, even if it is beyond the warranty period.

Did you try a factory reset before the USB update?
If you did and had no luck, it's off to service.
This industry is not getting cheaper and cheaper, we're simply convincing ourselves that we have to push the cheapest option to customers.

i found two ways:
[Restarting Pioneer receiver]
To restart the unit, turn it to standby, and then press [STANDBY/ON] on the main unit for at least 5 seconds. (The unit’s settings will be maintained.)
If there is no improvement even after the unit is restarted, try disconnecting and reconnecting the power cords of the unit and connected equipment.

[Resetting Pioneer receiver]
1. While holding down [AUTO/DIRECT] on the main unit, press [STANDBY/ON] on the main unit.
2. "Clear" appears on the display and the unit returns to standby. Do not unplug the power cord until "Clear" disappears from the display.

i tried only reset

Is it hardwired to the network, or are you using WiFi? Hardwire it and see if it works.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

when hardwired to the network i have "downloading..." message during 3-5min and "1-21 error!" and "0-83 error!".
when i try to flash from usb i have "upgrading... xx%". but after 9% i got the same "1-21 error!" and "0-83 error!".
i found 11 firmwares (according to [Link: pioneer-audiovisual.eu]). may be i have to try not the last but first one?
