Hi Folks,

How do you guys hide the "brick" that comes with 15-20 inch LCD Flat panels? Hiding the signal or CATV wires is easy. I know your not supposed to place those AC transformers in the wall. I have a customer who doesn't want to "see anything" The panel will be wall mounted in a bedroom with no furniture below it.

Thanks,

Ed

cable tie anchor and cable ties to the back of the TV, or velcro (does not work as well though)
What part of "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." do you not understand?

Run an extra 16/2 (or however many conductors the power supply sends to the LCD) to the plasma and backpower the LCD. Then just put the power supply at the main eqipment location.

How about installing a small structured-cabling box in the wall. You can include modules, such as a power receptacle, video-signal connectors, etc.

The Sharps have a cute little notch in the top of the cover panel on the AC side that just fits the Low voltage wire from the 'brick' perfectly... then velcro it to the outside of the door.

I usually do the zip tie thing. What the hell are TV companies thinking with these stupid boxes??? it's 2004(5) cant the incorperate the PS in the Panel. Also running the low voltage part through the wall is fine in my book. I assume thats up to code - since it's low voltage.

But one of the best ideas was actually thought up by a customer who's install i did a couple of years ago. it was a typical kitchen counter install. - He gave me one of his wifes decorative kitchen canisters (usually used to store sugar, flour, tea etc.) and let me drill a hole in the back of it. Needless to say instead of housing coffee - the canister now held a power supply.

Ohhh - if ya dig this idea - just be sure the check with the customer before drilling holes in their kitchenware.
