Has anyone else had SERIOUS reliability with these Niles pieces? I'd be hard pressed to think of one that we've used in the past 2 years that hasn't had issues within 90 days requiring service or replacement. Yet Niles says they have seen few issues company wide. We've had too many failures for me to believe we're the only ones.

I'm just curious. We've stopped selling these pieces since we've found such reliability issues, but that doesn't help jobs that are already in process.

Thanks.

tocder,

We have (50-70) units in the field and I have only recently had an issue with any of them. The biggest headache we had was with the TS-1 wall pads but that was mostly our lack of familiarity with them. Other then that they have been sound and ANY tech support was dealt with in a single phone call.

What kind of problems have you had with them? I've installed alot of the Niles systems and the only one I had a problem with was due to lightning. The one thing I don't like about them is the connector for the speaker wires. I've had issues trying to make a solid contact with the conductors. Other than that I have no complaints.

We have many in the field and have had NO problems other than a few dead keypads.

We have NO problems with the ZR series systems by Niles. We have several systems in the field. Very reliable in operation, however, you must test your CAT5E to prevent smoking the keypads.

Overall, they have been a good piece. I have had 1 that gave me problems out of about 15-20.
