I have two cheap friends who wanted to do some HDMI switching, so I bought a pair of 4x2s on FleaBay for 60 bucks each. They are IR controlled, but have an IR direct input jack as well. They do audio extraction for both optical and analog, but only off output 1.
These things have been working flawless for years now. I can post a link if you need me to. They are even cheaper now.
