Nice! Do they really work THAT far? That's great if it does. Newer ones can go even further, and have 2 way capability to let you know if the signal was received by the vehicle. If you hold the remote to your chin, you can increase the range too. Cancer be damned.

As others have said, hundreds of feet is conservative. Over a thousand feet is very doable under ideal conditions. And it is nothing new. Back in the early 90's while at the beach late at night. I was able to stick the transmitter under my chin and see the lights flash on my car from at least .25 mile down the beach. That was an Ungo alarm. Back before they were bought by several others.
