I’ve got a system with savant control, Apple TV 4th gen (non 4K), synology has being used as a video server.

The Apple TV has the synology DS video app installed from the apple App Store that allows the Apple TV to access the synology Nas as a video server.

This all works fine with one exception. Savant uses IR to communicate with the Apple TV. For most uses eg Netflix, iTunes movies etc this works fine. But the synology DS video app seems to require slightly different IP command to work. Eg if I want to fast forward I need to use the Apple TV remote app as the ir commands won’t work.

Dose anyone know if there are different IP commands for Apple TV ? And if they have IR equivielents ?

Fully sanctioned and supported IP control with Savant is coming 'very, very, very soon' says my Savant tech sales guy.

Have you tried lthe IR learning feature baked into the Apple TV? If you learn a new set of codes into the Apple TV might fix the issue.
