Hello all,

We are about to upgrade our current "to damn old" version of quickbooks. Is anyone using any of the premeir editions???? If so which one. Contractors, Retail, or Professional Services. I see features in each of these that I would like to have / play with.

Anybody using the new standard Quickbooks Pro 2005????

I've e-mailed them waiting for a response. Just want to get some end user point of view.

Thanks

Robbie S

I use Pro 2003. It has a few limitations, but they don't bother me too much since I don't do any retail or track inventory.

I use QB PRO 2002. I will have to upgrade to QB PRO 2005 because they are no longer supporting payroll for 2002. QB has been pulling this kind of crap since the mid 90's. I really don't want to upgrade, but have no choice. Seems they are not happy with the original software sale, so they force us to upgrade - even though my program works fine and I don't want to change.

Now having said, that I will say that QB is one of the most stable programs I've ever seen in my life. Never had even a glitch since I've been using them in the last 10 years. I sure hope 2005 continues with that rock solid performance. I will be upgrading in January or Feb.
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

I usually see rebate offers for Quick Books this time of year. One of the rebates is an upgrade one. The combined rebates knock $100 - $200 off the price. I don't remember the exact figure. Be sure you mail the rebates in within the time limit. Intiut and their rebate fulfiller will decline it if it's ONE day late.
