Currently looking for working BD player for Crestron and/or RTI IP control that have worked for any of you in the past. Job coming up with no time for Experiments.
TIA

Sony UBP-X1000ES has an official Crestron module with IP (or RS-232) control. I think you have to get it from Sony support. Works.
Many other Sony BD models released in the last five years allow for IP control via third-party modules/drivers, but you usually have to pair those with the control system.

I've been using a 3rd party RTI IP driver with Sony Blue-ray. Note that the region free players will change region ONLY with IR commands. this is not so bad because DVD's are truly region free. One only needs to change regions for Blue-ray discs.

The UBP-X1000ES?

Let me know which third party control module you trust for either RTI or Crestron.

That explains why I couldn’t get the crestron home driver to work

I dont believe sony publishes it, but its the same one they have been using for years. Whatever platform you are using probably has a driver that will work.
