Can't really find information I'm looking for on Google. I just want to know if Airplay 2 is still streaming directly from iPhone/iPad or is the Airplay 2 speaker streaming from the Internet when using music services. I really want to start considering Airplay 2 devices over Sonos but I think it would be a deal breaker if it still relies on streaming from directly from devices. Don't want to see dropouts when device is out of wifi range or when it receives notifications or phone calls.

I loojed at that too thanks. I think it’s safe to sayit’s still relies on streaming from the source device. And is it still true that Spotify Connect will only stream to one device at a time?
