Jesus would be impressed at the way you celebrate his fake birthday.

Nice try Satan; I'm an atheist.  I just like playing with lights.

If we cant play that song on the radio anymore, what about rap?

I like how this played out. A single radio station dedicated specifically to Christmas Music decided to drop a single song from its playlist and immediately every snowflake on the planet lost their mind and conjured up personal nightmares about their rapey music freedom being taken away.

The Christmas station doesn't play offensive rap...or rock or country.

Could we make a new thread discussing that tired topic?

I know other people have done up their houses nicely in the past.  Let's see some of those photos/videos?

Well, as an atheist myself, I don't believe in Satan. I'm sure you don't either. That being said, I must admit that your over-the-top display does not have any "Away in the Manger" crap and seems to be quite secular. It reminds me of a commercial (Geico, maybe?) of a house so lit up that they can see it from the International Space Station.

Did you do something similar prior to LEDs? If so, I can't imagine the size of service entrance you would have needed.

I started small, so a standard 15 amp breaker was enough.  I did add another 15 amp outdoor outlet this year since I added another 16 channel controller to the system and I was already close to overloading the original outlet.  The spiral tree has 32 sets of 100 incandescent bulbs on it, so that's the big energy hog.  The blue film is wearing off on them, so I'll probably replace them with LEDs next year.

I've talked to people that still use all incandescent bulbs and do much larger displays.  They tend to have a service panel just for their lighting displays.

There's a house near me that is into large, mostly inflatable objects. In my opinion it's rather tacky. These objects seem to be randomly scattered across the property. There are Santa's, reindeer, elves, candy canes, sleighs, trees draped with multi-colored lights. Not much blinking stuff. The only thing missing is a baby Trump holding a stocking cap (wouldn't want to mess with the orange mane), wearing a long MCGA tie.

I'm sure you psychologist would be impressed with your way of redirecting your internal anger.

Can people not just get into Christmas for the idea of spending time with your family and love how excited your kids get regardless of ones beliefs? Not everyone who celebrates Christmas is an far right Christian bible banger. I wouldn't come on here and give you shit about how you celebrate the big bang theory...

I looked into Light-O-Rama a couple of years ago but never pulled the trigger. I love the idea of doing this but I can't take on another project! My light setup as all I can handle. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not a huge fan of inflatables, but I really liked that moving teddy bear becuase it is actually fuzzy, not plastic, and the kids seem to enjoy it.

My mother in law bought me another one of two snowmen holding up a happy holidays sign, so I had to put that one up.   I think 2 of them is my limit though :)

There's a celebration for that? When is it?

Hopefully they've connected that panel to the line side of the utility meter:-)

LOL, if we are going to have equal rights about the topic, then we need to take it all down.

By the way the song has since been put back in the que.[Link: foxnews.com]

They dropped the wrong song anyway. They should drop Sir Paul's "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time". That song makes Santa bludgeon Rudolf with a hammer and makes Jesus cry out for more thorns and nails.
