buzz has it. In general our clients are untrained, so double the volume is more likely to be in the rabge of 10 dB.

That was found to be the case a long time ago but then, there's the loudness vs intense issue, too. Our hearing is subjective and it varies from one person to another. I think training allows better differentiation in the smaller increments.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

We used to have a saying back in the 80s and looking at specs on 12v amps, boosters and eq amps:

"That thing wouldn't do 175 watts if it was struck by lightning"

Or

"175 watts THC (in lieu of THD)"
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

You must then remember the boostalizer made by Norelco. Heat sinks on back spelled Norelco. Lots of lights on the front too!

Ah, Norelco. He and I go way back. I used to hang out with him when he was just a little shaver.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

We called it the WLS rating (whe lightning strikes)
