I’ve got a Doorbird that wasn’t working with a client’s elan system so I replaced it and brought the old one back to the shop. Well, I decided to hook it up and see if it is bad or if something was wrong with the elan setup. But I have just learned that the QR code on the back of the Doorbird is not the QR code I need to setup a unit on the app. Anyone know how I can get the username and password again? I obviously don’t have the original paperwork I can’t even find an email option on their website.

Fins,
When a client chose Doorbird and I was working through the kinks, the lit had a phone number for calling them. They were very helpful. Maybe that's the way to do this. Sorry that it's a holiday, though.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I have no lit. And the only number I found on their website is for sales.

You can factory reset it. When you do, it will ask you to put a email address and it will email you the qr code and the username and password

How do I do that? It’s not connected to my app.

Connect the door bird to the network. Connect your phone on the same network. On the door bird app click on the settings button on the bottom and there's is a option in there to factory default. It will scan the network for a door bird and it will walk you thru the steps to factory default it. You will have to power it down then hold the button and few more things

It didn’t ask me to put in an email address. It sent instructions to the original address, which is the client’s address

See Post 8. Ask the client.

Doorbird has boxed themselves in here if each unit is eternally tied to the client's email address. "Sure, Mr Client, we can exchange this, but we can't give you any credit against it unless you give us your email address and password."
