Drat! The image does not render properly. It's priceless.

I rewired my rack this morning. I thought it had turned into a disaster.

I am willing to bet this is a level above CenturyLink. I was out for 6 days recently and I've never tested speeds near my service plan. Of course it dropped again today.

Spectrum NEVER delivers what they claim.

Last time one of their telemarketers called, I cut the person off mid spiel, and asked if I could have a 50% refund, since I am only getting half of the speed they promise on the TV commercials.

Slow down this evening to the point that a Prime video stopped and I got a pop up stating there wasn't enough bandwidth.

Mine was a disaster and it got worse when I tried fixing it last Friday.

ReQuest VRQ failed, so I removed it and while at it added a ROKU to the rack. Then it all went south.

Got it all working again on Monday after getting a new MRF-350, changing the programming on all the MX-980's, shoved the ugly rack back in the hole and called it good.

It's behind a door, it's working, and I am leaving it alone.

They use the wiggle room provided by saying service is "up to" some magical speed. I have tried more than once to have cable companies express to me the MINIMUM GUARANTEED speed. It's like pulling teeth from chickens.

One Telco CSR stopped messing around when I told her she could have all the money in my pocket, and I have, at any given time, UP TO five million dollars in there. She should not be discouraged, nor think I'm lying, because I actually had twelve bucks, since that is included in "up to five million dollars."

She put me on hold and came back telling me they'd provide at least 750kbits. That made the decision easier!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

They never guarantee the speed, only advertising it as "Up to 200Mbps".

I had an interesting chat with one of Spectrum's techs for business clients on Thursday- if anyone gets the new boxes with 110 or 210 model number, get rid of it and get the 101 or 201. The 110 and 210 are what they call 'guide boxes', which means the GUI is totally different and everything shows up at the left edge, rather than along the bottom and at the left after scrolling to one of the boxes. They have had a lot of problems with those and he said he just doesn't use them. If he has a problem with one that has been installed, he replaces it with a Cisco or Samsung box. He also said that installers have tech and customer support contacts, but everyone else has to wade through the bullshit of their terrible phone support. I had a store manager call to fix some of the effups caused by their "support" people and even she had to wait on hold. That call took over an hour and because it involved the phone modem, I wasn't going to leave until I could see the display from the security cameras.

They have reached new lows. The first times I called after the takeover/buyout, it was pretty good but now, they're giving ATT a run for their money.

I can't see any way they'll change this for the better without a class action lawsuit.

Spectrums speeds are pretty much in the money. If not then you have an issue somewhere. One thing. Where is the speed test going? If it hops off their network then they have no control. And hopefully your test is wired. If speeds are slow there could be a CPE issue or a lot of ingress in your node. Most of their techs have a $5000.00 meter and it will verify speed of cable system up to 1.2 gig and verify what comes out of modem.
