Your name has become increasingly misleading to your readers. Your name implies that you are a publication directed towards the professionals that have chosen the custom integration business as their path to make a living. However, with each new article, your publication grows less and less geared to the professional. Articles on a web browser rating IOT devices, the IOT awards, pushing DIY cameras, and the list goes on. So I suggest you change your name to CEDIY. Then work to get your rag placed in the checkout aisles at Walmart. Since the Weekly World News went under, there’s a very fitting empty slot for you between the National Enquirer and People.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

Its Consumer Electronics Pro? Do NEW readers even know what CE stands for? I would guess the assumption is Consumer Electronics and they (CEPro) are taking advantage of that to garner new readers? New readers means more ad dollars? Just a thought, no idea the real motivation behind any of it. As a CI I would like to know though.

Custom Electronics Pro is what it stands for. Electric House was the client geared magazine and it was nice. I truly miss that magazine. CEPro was also focused for the pros not the clients.

CE Gadget Monthly? NeatO! Magazine?

They "review" and discuss DIY products that wreak havoc on the pro gear we install.

CEPro use to be a decent read over a decade ago - now it's just DIY consumer electronics trash. They prolly take money to do positive reviews on new junk. For some reason it keeps showing up in the mailbox.
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.

Based on some of the junk they are reviewing, I have no doubt that it’s pay for play

Have read good, and not so good articles- mostly the former. In fact, just read this- [Link: cepro.com] and really enjoyed it. The advertising in iOS has gotten much more annoying with the intro of the static Sonos ad with an ‘x’ so close to the ‘close pop up add’ option that the odds weigh greatly on an errant click through to junk. Really, my only issue. Keeping ahead of emerging technologies is why I am a ‘constant reader’. My habit of RC goes hand in hand with CEPro via the banner above. RC must benefit, don’t let your beef with JJ put a chink in Daniels armor- lol!

Half of the crap out there reminds me that it could be called 'Electronic Tinker Toys'.

It's "probably." It's one of the terms recently decried in a thread about the wrong words. It also was used a bunch in 2015. Someone seems to have fallen in love with it at that time. It never impressed me as clever enough or funny enough to use.

On the other hand, I sometimes write "frinstance," because that is truly how people say it. I also enjoy the joke of writing "viola" when I mean "voila." Don't try that out loud, though: it just creates an embarrassed silence because it's not understood to be a joke.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Plus they think it's pronounced "walla"
