Hey guys..my cable box and d-vcr seem to throw alot of heat..now i know they say dont put other components on them or build them in but i have them in a semi enclosed shelf unit with space on all sides..i dont have any other units on top but they both ,especially the cable box get pretty warm..any place to get a noiseless fan to vent out the side of the cabinet? thanks..RG

You also want to have air flow from the top and botton of you cabinet. Cool air comes in from the bottom and hot air goes out the top. The fans are a great addition, but if the venting isn't there all you have is hot air moving around you equipment.

thanks for the feedback..the doors are plantation shutters on the cabinet..so i think a fan on the side drawing out the heat is the way to go,,it will also draw in cooler air from the shutter openings..now to find a quiet wall mountable fan that is not ugly..just checked out that site you recommeded and i think its gonna help..wish they had prices listed though
