Anyone have any input on these in terms of sound quality? Room has a 7' 8" ceiling. TV mounted fireplace and only place for speakers is in ceiling. Brick fireplace flanked by doors to the exterior. No real room for a soundbar without pushing the TV up to the ceiling. Oh there is only between 7.5-8" of depth in the joist bay. Joists furred to fix slanted ceiling.

Will be connected to new Sonos AMP so phantom center, Sonos Sub and will do in0-ceiling speakers for surrounds. Could be Triad or Sonance VP66R SST/SUR. Was originally contemplating Sonance VP86R for the fronts, since can pivot the midrange and tweeters toward the listening area. But then was going to use the in-ceiling MDF back boxes to curb the sound transmission to bedrooms above but the joists aren't symmetrical to each side of the fireplace and the Sonance back boxes are full cavity width and are dead center, which won't work. Need some lateral adjustability to get the speakers as close to symmetrical with the ceiling joists as I can. Triad Mini/8 has at least a few inches of play due to its size in the bays.

Sonance has a nice “bolt on” retro back box, and will excel on the low end response too.

They're fine. I really don't find anything Triad makes to sound very good until you get into the Silver level and up, but I know that I am in the minority in that regard.

Can you post a picture? Maybe there are other speaker options that you haven't considered.
