I don’t want to receive messages on my iPad meant for my phone. They only come from family members to the iPad. However if I turn off iMessages on the iPad my phone does not get any messages. Seems like every update Apple fuks up more than they fix. Any ideas.

Settings—> Messages—> Send & Receive and make sure all addresses are selected on your iPhone.
Or just make sure the phone number is selected and make sure your contacts sends you messages to your phone number instead of the email address.
I am just assuming they are sending the messages to your email, via iMessages, to you... on both the iPhone and iPad. And hence why when you turn off the iMessages in your iPad, the iPhone stops receiving them. And that you have that email address disabled in the iPhone settings.

My mistake. By no means am I an Apple expert. It kills text messages from any and everyone on my phone. I don’t need text messages from anyone on my iPad. However I do on phone.

I actually just fixed this issue for my wife. The fix is listed under Settings -> Note9 :-)

Love it. I also have a note something or other for work. Keyboard sucks badly is about all that wrong with it

Maybe if you type 1 character a minute. I hate Apple but give them credit where it is due. Their keyboard is simply much more accurate.
