Dose anyone know of any fanless POE switches ? We normally use GS724TPv2 as well as the 48 port version, but they create quite allot of fan noise.

There is nothing that I know of over 8 port that fanless and even then you are paying a premium.
I use Ubiquiti and replace the fans with Noiseblocker or Noctua fans. Im sure you can find these fans to fit other brands as well. Most manufacturers dont seem to care about noise quality all too much.

At some point the manufacturers will realize that residences need these products, so noise has to be reduced. At this point they're still thinking everything goes into a noisy but isolated closet.

I've seen this kind of thing before. In the late 90s the tech guy at Faroudja was stunned when I asked why their $27,000 line quadrupler didn't have IR control. It was beyond their imagination that product would EVER be found in a residence (and we had two such systems!). To their credit, their next model had IR control in addition to RS232.

I wonder if the POE mfrs are noticing this trend. Call 'em up and clue them in! Surely they''ll respond if they think people will buy it.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Snap already knows this stuff goes in residential and some of their fans are CRAZY load! Ridiculous. To their credit, some newer stuff has either been variable speed (auto) which helps or just over all quieter. Should have been a HUGE consideration from the beginning!

Cisco 3560CX and 2960CX are fanless with a maximum of 16 ports and 12 PoE+ ports. Probably more than most want to pay, though.

Or there’s Cisco industrial IE-4010-4S24P 24- port switch - it’s fanless and cheap... If over $5k is cheap.

I think the Ubiquiti US-8-150W 8-port is one of the few true 8 ports without a fan. Most other fanless seem to be 4+4, and I've never seen (but would be interested in) a 16-port at a reasonable price.

I had a hard enough time finding a fanless 48-port managed switch.

Yes you are correct but based on his post I believe he is looking for more then just 8 ports PoE

Take a look at the Advan Netvanta 1531P. It's a 12 port switch with 8 ports POE and it is fanless. Beyond that go with a multi port POE injector like this:

We use Cisco WS-C3560CX-12PC-L in recording studios. They are silent.
