Say goodbye to a great service.  SiriusXM is a royal PITA to deal with.  I loved the service, but the people behind it were beyond aggravating to deal with, so I guess there is a glimmer of a chance the service itself still continues to perform as well as it does currently.

I liked XM until Sirius bought them and the first thing that pissed me off was taking away my favorite station and then, the sound quality became total crap, so I stopped. They, OTOH, thought it was OK to continue billing me $29.95 for six months without telling me and I didn't look for it on my bill, so...shame on me. Their resolution department doesn't do that.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Smart move IMO. $17 a month for satellite isn't going to last much longer.

I've been paying less than $10 a month for the entire package with Streaming for over 3 years.

All it takes is a phone call to let them you you'd like to cancel. (Which I fully intend to do if I cant keep the same price) and they can find you a promo deal to apply pretty quick.

Sirius has been great to me over the years. cant complain at all.

But I have to do that like every 6 months. Mine just ran out. But its painful to call them to get the deal again

Try canceling for real and see how that experience goes.

I signed up for XM in 2004. 12 years later, i was being billed around $24 per month. My bank issued me a new debit card in 2016, and I never gave SiriusXM my new card info so my service ended. They want me back so badly they just mailed me an offer for 3 years of service for $99. No, not $99/year for three years—$99 for three years. I can’t say no to that.

SiriusXM can't compete with any of the cheaper streaming services. When everyone starts streaming everything from their car, or phone in their car, they will fold. This is their attempt to stay solvent.

I've been a subscriber for 12 years, and I see it coming, with dead air on some stations. They are almost dead.

How are they almost dead?  They just plopped down a cool 3.5 Billion on Pandora.  They're not dead, they're evolving...like another industry I know.
