iOS 12. Can’t delete apps. Just gives you the option to share. Any ideas?

yup. just checked, my bad. Its 3D touch. Tight touch is the key for delete. Hard press for share.

Well it all depends...

Is this iPhone a 6s or later? Then the normal long touch will work. As these iPhones are 3D Touch.

iPhone 6 or earlier... a 2 or 3 second long touch. Same goes with the iPads. As these don’t have 3D Touch.
