Hello, i was just wondering because i have just only started to use the software if i am able to get the IR Hex codes out of the software to view the code, i know that you can input them by the universal control window but i i can view already inputted codes IR hex, i know someone posted a while back that you couldn't but i have the most up to date version and maybe they have updated it since then but if someone could let me know that would be great, thanks.

I've been asking for this option for years from URC.  It's not even on the radar as far as I know.

irdb and Global Cache have most, if not all of what CCP has.

None of the URC software has even been able to output IR codes.

You could buy an old Philips Pronto remote (3500, 7500, etc.) off of eBay and use the software to capture the IR code from the URC remote.

I'm guessing you are wanting to do this to make all 256 IR code for a device and test out. The Philips Pronto remotes had some of the best IR capture for this.

I'd buy the original pronto types, not the 3500 and newer etc. The IR was handled more simply in the earlier version.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

IR Scrutinizer will generate 100% clean Hex codes as well if thats what hes after....

People seem to be making this a lot mre difficult than it needs to be.

You're not saying what you think is being done that makes things more difficult. Expressing oneself incompletely makes things more difficult!

IR Scrutinizer requires some codes to be able to generate the entire set. That requires a remote that can issue some of those commands. So no, talking about getting a Pronto, etc, is not making things more difficult than needed.

There are very few remote codes that are not documented in some form or fashion Ernie. I linked 2 websites already that have thousands of clean codes and the information needed to generate every code in that set.

Maybe if the Op told us what he was actually looking for he would already have the codes he needs.

Good luck running any of the Pronto software in Windows 10. You'll need to create a virtual machine running Windows 7 or earlier.

Does one have to be a dealer to get the software to see the codes there?

True dat.

I am the author of IrScrutinizer, and I would like to add my 2 cents:

There is a lot of documented IR codes on the internet. This is my, definitively incomplete, list: [Link: harctoolbox.org] . IrScrutinizer can, btw, import most of these with just a few key mouse clicks, both from data bases and from files (in general preserving names of commands).

Surely, there is often the need to capture IR signals yourself. To suggest that an legacy Pronto has to be bought for this is, IMHO, like suggesting that a beginning violin player should get a Stradivarius. There are a number of IR sensors around, that does the job. IrScrutinizer directly supports GlobalCache (Flex, ITach), CommandFusion, IrWidget, IrToy, and (my favorite) Arduino with my firmware [Link: harctoolbox.org]. Having hooked up one of these, it is possible to capure like 10 commands per minute, including entering command names.

You can of couse also capure with a legacy Pronto, saving the CCF file, and import it into IrScrutinizer...

Finally, I am still developing the program actively, and if anyone has a wish/suggestion, please tell. (But first check the present issues; [Link: github.com] )

No. and there are many other places to get codes as well.
