Please can anyone Help have been playing around with my new toy (marantz 9200 remote) but cannot place say 3 panels on top of each other ie 3tabs on top of panel main, efx & text, but only have main panel showing until you touch efx tab and then efx panel appears, all I can get is individual panels, which then I have to scroll through. I would really appreciate any advice, cheers.

When this is done right, it only looks like three panels on top of one another. (If you really did that, how would it know how to slide the right one out from under to make it come out on top, and how would it slide out? Sideways out of the remote onto your coffee table?)
You do this by making three panels. Each panel has the same-looking three tabs in exactly the same positions at the top of the panel, except when you are on, say "efx," the tab named "efx" is dark; the other two are light indicating you can touch them to go to the other panels.
Then those light tabs are jumps to the panel with their name...and on those other panels, the appropriate tab is dark to indicate that's where you are.
I gotta tell you, though, I program these things, and with the menu and enter button, and the cursor pads off the screen down below, I can usually get a device's functions into one page. I don't include the tweakiest commands; instead I go for the basics.
Another thing -- I will create two panels in a device named "Surr Adj" and then put a SURR button on each device. One of those panels has the surround styles that are good for audio and the other has the surround styles good for video. The SURR button on the DVD, for instance, will jump to the SURR VID panel. If you want to use an audio type of surround with the DVD, you can always scroll to the other panel.
BACK gets you back to the device.
In fact, nobody who uses remotes I program EVER sees the commands for the A/V amp. Why? Well, you need volume and mute; I enter these under the hard buttons in System Properties, so they show up on every device. DVD input, for instance, is part of a macro that selects the DVD; so is A/V amp ON. So is MONITOR ON. So is MONITOR COMPONENT IN. See? You never have to even use tabs for the amp, because if you really think this through, those commands will never need to be looked at, all on one page. They will be parts of macros.

Sorry but I'm just a bit of an ameteur, can you explain in easy terms how to put panels on top of each other, selecting the tabs to bring the panel highlighted to life. Hope you can help Ernie, sure as hell need it.
