I got called to a job here a competitor had installed one of those.
Apparently it wasn't working very well, and the install shop wouldn't come fix it.
As I open the full size door going into the attic, I pulled down some of the wiring, as it was just left hanging, and had already been pulled loose when someone went into the attic to store some things.
Fixed that wiring and all was well.
Crappy system, but it did somehow manage to work. People hated it though.
