To be honest, I replied to your post a day after I had read the other comments, so I didn't remember that someone had mentioned ports, but your question about who changed the ports makes it seem that you think it's a likely cause. My question is pretty bland, if you look at it- there was nothing in it that questioned anyone's intelligence and it only had one question mark. If I had used several, THAT would have been disrespectful.

The problem in this thread wasn't actually a gmail problem. I have a shortcut on my desktop that opens several websites at once, and google had changed the address of one of them, so the process just ground to a halt.

How could you not think I was addressing you when your post was quoted in my reply?
