Hello,

Pella is not providing very good info on these. I assume they must be made by GE, Honeywell, DSC, Napco or 2Gig as they are supposedly compatible with a Resolution RE524x translator which only accepts these manufacturers.

Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Well, the windows I've done with the built in wireless contacts (think they were Pella) were directly compatible with Honeywell receivers so I would assume they are made by Honeywell. I had to use the translator because I use GE/Interlogix panels.

Would make sense, Pella and Honeywell are located near each other.

Trump is located near The Library of Congress so what's your point?

Would make sense.

Around 1999 I had the occasion to program a couple of systems using Crestron parts. The systems used Vidikron projectors. I visited Vidikron in New Jersey for setup training.

When I got back I found that Crestron didn't have remote control codes in any format for several Vidikron products. I convinced someone at Vidkro (Hank, maybe?) to send one of each of their remotes over to Crestron, all of three or four blocks away, so Crestron could learn the codes.

Someone at Vidikron carefully packed the remotes, with identification as to which remote models controlled which projectors. They sent those (walked them down, really) to their shipping department and told those guys to send them to Crestron. Someone in shipping carefully unwrapped the remotes and separated them from the identifying information.

Crestron received a bunch of remotes with no information as to what they were there for.

Would make sense, you say?

(They eventually got things untangled.)
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I worked for an AV company in 2005 and we installed a demo theater and equipment in some peripheral areas- the theater was getting a Vidikron projector and it was great, but the remote had 'RUNCO' on it.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Same company, different product line.

Think Denon/Marantz or Onkyo/Integra (Or Toyota/Lexus).

Even more interesting, most Runco products were somebody else's gear under the hood.
The Runco plasmas were rather sloppily modified Panasonic Pro displays. Lots of hot glue and poorly soldered wires to be found.

Honeywell and Pella are two big Minnesota based companies with corporate offices very near each other. Seeing that no other security company or window company out there is doing this I find it quite feasible that these two companies have many high level people that live near each other and run in the same social circles which would have made a partnership like this more likely than two random companies that are located on the opposite ends of the country.

What's your point for even posting in this thread? What info were you able to provide?

1. Pella is not located in Minnesota. It is located in - wait for it - Pella, Iowa.

2. The sensors are manufactured by Resolution Products (now Alula).

3. The fact that two things are near one another does not mean they have any other common factors (see Trump > Warehouse of Knowledge).

Anderson is offering the option of built in Honeywell wireless sensors also, they call it Verilock.

Yes. This. Just like the Capulets and the Montagues.

His point was to attempt to increase the wisdom here at RC by making us skeptical of thinking that proximity implies cooperation and sharing.

Turns out they have their own protocol. Resolution offers a wireless translator to make them compatible with several major manufacturers. In my research, I did not find any evidence that the Pella sensors were made by Resolution as claimed by another poster but it could be the case.
